Barry Bonds "Game Used" Hall of Shame!!!!!

Fakes, please be careful! Do NOT be fooled by COA's or Holograms! Use your eyes and brain!

More to follow!

There are 7 issues wrong with the 2000 Giants Barry Bonds "game used" jersey. Autographed with Hologram.

This item is a  FAKE!

1) Wrong size for Bonds

2) NO Bonds Authenticated Patch in the tail

3) Wrong size numbers on the back, the Giants used smaller numbers in 2000 than 2001

4) Wrong sleeve for the 2000 Patch, should be on left sleeve

5) Has two patches, Giants used ONE patch in 2000.

6) Patch on left sleeve is a 2001 patch

7) Giants HAVE NOT year tagged jerseys during the Russell era, paper tag “2000” in tail is wrong

Jersey is COMPLETELY fake.

This is a Fake 2001 Giants Barry Bonds Alternate Home "game used" jersey. It has the "Bonds Authenticated" Patch ironed in the tail, signature with NO hologram.

Issues with it are as follows:

1) Store Model jersey, no tagging in tail

2) Giants have NOT worn their names on the back of Home's, since 1999.

This 2001 was sold on a prominent auction house, with a COA from a supposed "Uniform Expert":

Where to start with this one??! Absolutely terrible!

1) Wrong size

2) Nameplate wrong, letters on nameplate are wrong

3) Repo 9/11 Flag

4) Jersey has home size numbers (8.25") NOT Road size numbers (6.5")

5) Colors of tackle-twill Orange on back, does not match the front

6) No Bonds Authenticated tag

This FAKE 2001 "Game Used", currently on ebay through 2/19/05, is terrible!!!! (REMOVED by ebay 2/17/05, they cancelled the auction)

(1) Wrong Size for Bonds

(2) Replica Flag on back, sewn wrong placement, and thread color

(3) Wrong size numbers on back

(4) NO Bonds Authenticated Tag

The other FAKE Bonds phenomenon, is the "Pro Cut" "Team Issued" Bonds jersey.

This is an example of a FAKE Bonds "Pro Cut" jersey.

2001  - Continuing the traditional but modern theme, the Giants add an alternate version of both of the home and road uniform, featuring a black uniform top and an alternate cap with a raised SF monogram logo in black outlined with the traditional orange piping. Worn with the regular-uniform pant (cream at home, gray on the road), the alternate jerseys are identical in design to the regular uniforms except for the color. The Giants only wore the black uniform top for road games in 2002 and abandoned them altogether after the season.

This one was sold one bay as a "un-game used Pro Cut" Bonds jersey. Here are the issues with it! (REMOVED by ebay, they cancelled the auction)

1) Wrong size for Bonds

2) Giants ONLY used this home version of the Black jersey in 2001! http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/sf/history/uniforms_logos.jsp

3) Giants HAVE NOT year tagged jerseys during the Russell era, which started in 1992

BARRY BONDS '01 SAN FRANCISO GIANTS UN-USED GAME JERSEY
REAL 2001 pro-cut game jersey with USA 9/11 flag patch

This FAKE Bonds "Pro Cut Game Issued", showed up on ebay 3/21/05 from a seller in Pittsburgh.

It is COMPLETELY Fake, and a Russell Second. This is a completely made up jersey, very badly done, I might add! Here are the problems with it:

1) Wrong Size for Bonds

2) It is a Russell "second", thus the NO "R" on the left sleeve

3) It was a BLANK jersey from Russell

4) NO Giants Road Patch on the LEFT sleeve

5) The front "San Francisco" has been added, and is wrong arch and font

6) Flag is wrong

7) "BONDS" nameplate is NOT even close

8) #25 on the back is COMPLETELY wrong size, and font

This one is from a dealer that constantly "spews" fake stuff out!

It was sold as "Bonds - SF Giants Authentic Player-Issued Jersey
Game-Used ? Awesome Pro-Cut w/ COA !"

1) Wrong size for Barry Bonds, this is a 2004 Style Giants Home

2) Number size on back is wrong

3) The team stamp is COMPLETELY FAKE!!! For one thing, due to Bonds' contract with the Giants, NONE of his items go through the Giants Warehouse. This jersey is stamped with a fake stamp. Only shirts that come through the Giants Warehouse for sale would have this stamp. But, since NONE of Bonds' are sold this way, it is totally fake!

This one is a COMPLETE JOKE!!!

From a seller in Central Florida that knows nothing about Bonds jerseys, or items in general.

Problems with this shirt are NUMEROUS!!

(1) Wrong Size for Bonds

(2) No "Bonds Authenticated" Tag in tail

(3) Wrong #25 Font and size on back

(4) Wrong 9-11 Flag

(5) This is a $50 "extra" jersey that has been very poorly customized

This one came from ebay recently. Many, many ISSUES with this jersey! Completely FAKE!

(1) Wrong size for Bonds

(2) No "Bonds Authenticated" tag in tail

(3) GIANTS DO NOT YEAR TAG JERSEYS

(4) The front "GIANTS" is from 2004, NOT 2002!

(5) Wrong #25 size on back

This jersey is a COMPLETE FAKE! Ebay listing says it originated from Blue Chip Sports, be very leery of this. The ONLY thing real on this jersey is the Bonds autograph. The rest is pure garbage.

(1) Wrong size for Bonds

(2) No Bonds Authenticated tag in tail (although very nice fairy tale in the listing on ebay and the COA. Interesting how everyone has a "story" for these questionable jerseys)

(3) Never seen a Bonds jersey with sharpie markings on the tag like this one.

(4) The #2 is smaller than the #5

(5) Notice the Russell tag in the picture, and the Russell tag in the COA. On the COA the "25" is readable, on the jersey it is marked out.

(6) Also, notice the "press mark" in the picture of the sleeve with the patch. You can see a distinct crease, this is not visible on the COA. Not sure that this is even the same jersey that is in the COA.

(7) In any event, the jersey has been messed with from even the poor example that is in the SCD COA.

This jersey is COMPLETELY FAKE from ebay, and the seller is from Pittsburgh, PA

(1) Wrong size for Bonds

(2) NO Bonds Authenticated tag in tail

(3) Wrong size "BONDS" nameplate and font

(4) Wrong size #25 on back

(5) Bonds jerseys DO NOT HAVE THE "Purchased from the San Francisco Giants" stamp in tail, this is a fake stamp

This jersey is funny, and very fake. Making it's round on ebay as a Barry Bonds Game Used 2002 All Star jersey

Problems are numerous. Isn't it amazing that everyone has a "clubhouse source", but none are never mentioned by name!

(1) Wrong Size for Bonds

(2) NO Bonds Authenticated Patch in tail

This one has shown up on an Auction House, ending 12/08/05, COMPLETELY FAKE

NOTE***This FAKE jersey has shown up again on Vintage Authentics as Lot #21.

(1) BONDS Jerseys are NEVER sold through the Giants!

(2) No BONDS AUTHENTICATED patch

(3) FAKE "Purchased from the San Francisco Giants" Stamp

(4) FAKE Team COA, wrong fonts, size and style of letters and numbers on COA...terrible

(5) BLANK team jersey that has had Bonds #25 added to it

(6) Stadium LOGO on letterhead is too light

(7) Wrong placement of nameplate and numbers

This is the FUNNIEST one yet!! On ebay as Item# 300018916025

(1) This is the EXACT reason you don't trust any of the so-called "Experts"

(2) Wrong size for Bonds

(3) No Bonds Authenticated tagging

(4) Wrong size numbers on back

(5)BUT, THE BIGGEST PROBLEM, IS THIS IS A ROAD JERSEY WITH HOME NUMBERS ON THE BACK. THE ROAD VERSIONS OF THIS JERSEY STYLE IN 2001-2002 HAD THE NAME ON THE BACK WITH SMALLER NUMBERS!!!!!

(6) But, you can take GREAT pride in the fact that Lou has written an "opinion" for you! Stevie Wonder can see this is a fake!

This one is EXACTLY what is wrong with this "hobby". This jersey originated a few years ago from a seller on ebay, thesofasurfer. These were sold as "game-issued", but they are NOT. Then from there, they have become GAME USED, and even have a LOU LAMPSON letter. What a joke! This is nothing but pure fraud. It is on ebay, as of 10/29/06 as item #170044024786.

These are the ISSUES with this terrible fake!

(1) Wrong size for Bonds

(2) NO Bonds Authenticated Patch in the tail

(3) This one kills me, THE GIANTS DID NOT YEAR TAG THEIR JERSEYS IN 2001  !!!!

(4) Wrong size numbers on back

(5) Wrong size and font for "BONDS" on back

(6) BUT, for your "piece of mind" Lou has written his letter, and you even get a signature on the COA by Victor of AMI...this should make it worth it's opening bid of $1,999 or if you can't wait...you can Buy It Now for $4,999 !!!!!

WHEN WILL THIS STUFF STOP??? ANOTHER COMPLETE FAKE, BUT, IT HAS THE WONDERFUL MEARS LETTER!!! WHAT A JOKE!

Where to start on this?? Are "collectors" this STUPID??? Don't continue to buy this crap!

(1) Wrong Size for Bonds in 1997

(2) NO Bonds COA or hologram

(3) BONDS DID NOT WEAR RUSSELL JERSEYS WITH THE GIANTS UNTIL THE 2000 Season!

(4) Funny thing, the Getty Images that MEARS lists in the "COA"(lol) Getty #296642, SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO "R" for Russell on the Sleeve!!!

(5) Bonds' jerseys during this period, WERE RAWLINGS, and due to the contract with MLB and the Giants, the RAWLINGS logo was not allowed to be on the sleeve

Please educate yourself before spending stupid money on a Bonds jersey!
